What you will do
Manages the clinical database registry. Performs data abstraction, submission, inter rater reliability, end user education and data registry troubleshooting with society and or vendor.
Adheres to data quality standards provided by the database’s governing body, maintains competency and compliance of database requirements, and remains aware of recommended changes.
Independently troubleshoots issues identified with data registry, and keeps end users abreast of progress and solutions.
Maintains proven data collection skills as evidenced by periodic chart reviews. Demonstrates skills and knowledge by maintaining a 97% data collection accuracy level.
Regularly meets with Performance Improvement Coordinators to discuss ongoing data collection to assure continued data integrity.
Seeks innovative solutions to positively impact workplace quality, teamwork, efficiency, training and costs.
Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
Technical Degree or Diploma Nursing - LPN
Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
Associate's Degree Cardiovascular Technology
Associate's Degree Radiology
Associate's Degree Nursing- RN
Work Experience Requirements
Clinical chart review & abstraction
1-3 years Clinician in the applicable service line setting
1-3 years Coding
Data registry submission & reporting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of terminology and work flows in the clinical setting for the assigned service line.
Demonstrated effective influencing skills with physicians, healthcare providers, and all levels of management.
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Requires ability to analyze and report registry data to support the activities of the service line program.
Demonstrated ability to participate in or successfully lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve goals and lead change.
Knowledge of and experience with government and regulatory requirements preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member to produce results.
Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database queries, etc.).

Physical Demands
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
Must have good balance and coordination.

The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
