A Brief Overview
Responsible for driving and maintaining the Mobile Medical Unit on a daily basis. Performs various clerical duties, scheduling and registration. Ensures the safety of vehicle and assists medical personnel during scheduled clinic sessions. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
What you will do
- Drives the mobile unit vehicle to and from each clinic site and ensures the mobile unit vehicle is properly loaded.
- Performs maintance checks on vehicle and medical equipment. Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Registers patients, including consents, immunization records, verification of insurance and prepares parental mail outs and educational materials for parents.
- Performs hearing and vision testing, height and weight, as well as some point of care tests when needed.
- Maintains daily logs and maintenance schedules.
- Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience Requirements
- 1-3 years Driving a commercial vehicle
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Tennessee Motor Vehicle
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions with ability to read a map.
- Must be deemed insurable by MLH insurance carrier; MVR will be checked prior to transfer or employment.
Supervision Provided by this Position
- There is no lead or supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.
Physical Demands
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: heavy work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- The Associate may be required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).
