A Brief Overview
Manages, coordinates, prepares and helps implement project plans to support HR operational initiatives. Manages defined projects or phase(s) of projects to identify, recommend, and implement changes to increase efficiency. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do

  • HR Compliance • Develop and/or maintain organization wide guidelines, policies, practices and Associate Handbook ensuring compliance with employment laws, regulation, policies and best practices. • Manages HR policy development and ensures annual regulatory review. • Documenting business processes identifying issues and implementing solutions to enhance the Associate experience. • Assists in developing and implementing training programs. • Creates executive summaries, business cases and recommendations presenting high quality data findings. • Work in partnership with legal to research changes in laws and regulations, analyze their impact on the organization and communicate findings to stakeholders. • Demonstrates flexibility and creativity as new initiatives are implemented that require HR operations and compliance oversight.
  • Project Management • Lead process design and continuous improvement efforts, partners with key stakeholders including HR, IT, Communications and others. • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to deliver optimal and consistent Associate experience. • Manages, coordinates, prepares and helps implement project plans to support strategic HR operational initiatives. • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify and quantify variances, recommend corrective actions, and communicate to stakeholders. • Functions as an effective team-builder and facilitator. Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members to facilitate project completion. • Leverage effective change management practices to execute strategic HR initiatives. • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Management

Experience Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Human Resources
  • Project management

Skills and Abilities

  • Sound knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct benchmarking research and determine applicability to current projects.
  • Strong skills in facilitation, influencing, problem solving, and negotiating with and between individuals and groups.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; adept at presenting and communicating business information to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage by influence in a consultative role.
  • Strong technical ability in basic business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. High level of organizational skills to manage projects, timetables and implementations.
  • Technical skill in database software such as Access
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Certified in Healthcare Human Resources American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration
  • Senior Professional Human Resources Certification HR Certification Institute (HRCI)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • Professional Human Resources Certification HR Certification Institute (HRCI)
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

Supervision Provided by this Position

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.

Physical Demands

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
