Responsible for providing occupational health services to MLH client's employees. Treats and triages worksite illness and injury, monitors medical surveillance programs and provides Workers Compensation case coordination. Partners with the client's key internal stakeholders in the development and implementation of occupational health services to support company health, wellness and safety programs. A Brief Overview
Responsible for providing occupational health services to MLH client's employees. What you will do
  • Performs Health Assessments in accordance with company/client protocols.
  • Conducts workplace observation and assessment in support of safe work behaviors.
  • Coordinates activities and medical case management for work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Promotes Wellness and Health Education through delivery of training and practice.
  • Performs other occupational health activities according to client contract and programs.

Education/Formal Training Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing- RN

Work Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years Occupational medicine
  • 1-3 years Workers’ compensation

Licenses and Certifications Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse American Board for Occupational Health Nurses, Inc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques are central to the professional discipline in Nursing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of legal requirements pertinent to employee health and safety.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards, effective communication, and sustains positive employee relations by inspiring trust and providing high caliber medical treatment and counsel.

Supervision Provided by this Position
  • There are no supervisory duties assigned to this position.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent invasive and non-invasive contact.
  • Exposure to body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
  • Ability to handle and administer medications, vaccinations, and immunizations as needed.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals.
  • Normal hearing; normal vision, including color, night, and peripheral vision.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit in one place, squat, kneel, reach, bend, crawl, and twist throughout the shift.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Valid drivers’ license and current automobile liability insurance. Must be able to travel to client work sites for care delivery.
