Responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the document control activities and processes. Works with internal leaders on policies and procedures documents. Works with Corporate Risk for document requests. Serves as point of contact for the entire MLH system for any proceedings related to documents and policies. A Brief Overview
Responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the document control activities and processess. Works with internal leaders on policies and procedures documents. Works with Corporate Risk for document requests. Serves as point of contact for the entire MLH system for any proceedings related to documents and policies. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do

  • Manages PolicyStat functions such as document approval tracking, managing workflows, vetting/adding new documents, managing document changes and overrides, coaching owners on function of the system, document quality assurance, and maintenance of relationship with vendors.
  • Serves a change management and Document Control subject matter expert by maintaining vendor relations relating to document control.
  • Leads or participates in cross-functional groups and/or committees to achieve goals and objectives – while maintaining a focus on systemness and standardization.
  • Ensures documents are up to date, within compliance, reviewed and revised as needed. Follows document policies and guidelines, and collaborates with leaders to seek approval on documents as needed. Works with groups to develop and sustain processes to improve standardization of document services/control.
  • Performs other functions as assigned or requested.


Education/Formal Training Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree Communications


Work Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years Progressive responsibilities
  • Sharepoint


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in regulatory standards established by DNV, ISO, and CMS applicable to document control.
  • Strong communication skills including excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities with experience in conveying complex information to management/leaders.
  • Proficient computer skills using databases, Microsift Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates capability in facilitating a collaborative approach to compliance with document control.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to consult and negotiate in situations that are controversial and/or sensitive that result in mutual decisions. Ability to exercise discretion in what and how to communicate.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgement in a professional manner.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of own workflow.
  • Demonstrates ability to refine documents, identify small details, organize large document sets, and maintain control of system-wide processes.


Supervision Provided by this Position

  • Manages document control program through influence in a consultative role that does not have direct authority.
  • Influences leaders/associates to encourage completion of tasks/work related to document maintenance.


Physical Demands

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work
