Designs and implements new data sets, develops data modeling, and is responsible for data collection, analysis, and design. Coordinates new data development to ensure consistency and integration with existing structure. Reviews requests for data and data usage and creates analytic tools to identify and communicate performance metrics. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the field to the completion of moderately difficult assignments. A Brief Overview
Designs and implements new data sets, develops data modeling, and is responsible for data collection, analysis, and design. What you will do
  • Creates analytic tools for identifying and communicating performance. Develops statistical models to be applied to given situation, and selects formats to effectively communicate results such as graphs, charts, presentations or other visual tools.
  • Develops, generates, publishes and distributes quality and utilization reports in support of quality initiatives. Analyzes data for meaningful trends.
  • Audits datasets to ensure accuracy of information; provides documentation to verify.
  • Manages, modifies, and maintains a comprehensive utilization and quality database used to report on quality, utilization, and performance.
  • Coordinates with other departments to highlight and troubleshoot data in need of investigation or correction, and/or obtain information for further clarification or analysis.
  • Ensures accuracy of database information through the performance of regular updates and quality assurance checks.
  • Provides routine user training and education in the most effective use of the database.
  • Acts as a consultant on performance metric reporting. Provides expertise in data sources available for electronic reporting; trains end users in understanding performance metric reporting, and serves as a resource in answering questions, researching issues and resolving problems
  • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Education/Formal Training Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree Data Science
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer sciences
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree Statistics
  • Bachelor's Degree Cardiovascular Technology

Work Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years Database development and applications
  • Master's degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Applied work experience with large data sets (healthcare data experience is preferred) to identify and communicate customer needs in to functional and technical requirements, model, and develop reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to display information persuasively in support of data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of research design and statistical analysis to include t-tests, regression techniques, chi-square tests, proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, SPSS, or SAS.
  • Knowledge and work experience with relational databases such as SQL, MS Access, etc.; proficient with standard report writing tools such as Crystal reports, Business Objects.
  • Proficient, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this job.

Physical Demands
  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
