A Brief Overview
Promotes and builds strong relationships with referring physician practices with a focus on physician practices' specialty. Collaborates with others to develop and execute market strategies to targeted audiences, enhance and improve service offerings, and implement initiatives that promote physician/hospital collaboration. What you will do

Business Development:

  • Promotes and builds strong relationships with referring physician practices with a focus on physician practices’ specialty.
  • Implements initiatives to promote physician/hospital collaborations and strengthen and develop new business alliances.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare’s market presence and service offerings.
  • Promotes and builds awareness of providers within the health system and throughout the community.
  • Gathers and analyzes provider referral data, provide summaries and recommendations to system leaders.
  • Collaborates with Sr. Leadership, Practice leadership, and clinical teams to expand service lines, enhance market presence, and ensure a positive integration experience for new providers.
  • Develop and recommend strategic plans to grow patient volume, enhance service lines, and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, physician groups, and healthcare partners.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and demographic data to inform business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to promote Methodist Healthcare’s services and brand.

Provider Onboarding:

  • Coordinates with Physician Recruitment, HR, credentialing, and medical staff services to ensure timely and compliant onboarding.
  • Develops, recommends and implements onboarding programs that align new providers with Methodist Healthcare’s culture, policies, and operational standards.
  • Serves as a point of contact for new providers, addressing concerns and facilitating a smooth transition.
  • Maintains strong relationships with physicians and providers after hire to increase retention and engagement.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Management
  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing
  • Master's Degree

Experience Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Healthcare or marketing

Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of referral development.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills and conceptual knowledge of market research techniques.
  • Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, including activity reports, financial cost analysis and profitability studies.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of Associates, clients, physicians, and physician office staff.
  • Ability to work independently to set priorities, coordinates tasks, and complete work.

Supervision Provided by this Position

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this role.

Physical Demands

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
  • Position requires frequent travel outside of primary work site.
