A Brief Overview
Position to focus on benefits and wellness analysis and reporting to ensure MLH is offering comprehensive and cost effective plans. Also leads or participates in special projects and supports partnerships such as West Cancer Center and acquisitions. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
What you will do
- Performs analysis and reporting for benefits administration.
- Provides ongoing support for benefits management and administration related to due diligence data for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as integration planning.
- Assists in federal and state compliance and reporting activities.
- Manages and supports special projects by leading and/or actively participating.
- Serves as a resource to other Benefits staff members in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
Education/Formal Training Requirements

- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of benefits processes and data entry procedures. Ability to resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Advanced skills in Excel, analytical skills and related software programs.
- Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to allow for adaptation of procedures, processes, and tools to meet the requirements of the job.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Desire to exceed customer expectations in a busy environment.
- Detail oriented with excellent planning and organizational skills, including time management and the ability to prioritize and keep control of workflow.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management, associates and providers.
- Ability to gather information internally and externally to analyze data and make recommendations.
- Strong customer service skills.

Physical Demands
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
